Agency Physical Environment Staff Development Reflects Father Inclusiveness Agency Supports For Working with Fathers Agency Community Reputation for Father Friendliness Agency Policies, Procedures, and Operations
Agency décor will be reflective of father friendliness. Team meetings and in-services will focus on entire family including fathers. Agency will focus on the development of funding committed to services specifically for father friendliness and fatherhood activities. Agency will advocate for the participation of fathers in the activities of communities, and family strengthening efforts. Agency will participate in annual SFI Organizational Self Assessment and has a documented plan to improve father friendliness.
Father friendly reading materials will be available in waiting and common activity areas. Staff (male and female) will be trained to focus on Father Involvement, gender driven parenting differences. Agency will conduct and/or sponsor father friendliness questionnaires, focus groups, and discussions as a community leader/advocate. Agency will act as sponsor or partners in sponsoring father friendly activities and events. If families are encouraged to be engaged in quality improvement efforts of the agency, this will include fathers.
Media resources, newsletters, brochures, flyers, announcements, will reflect father friendliness of the agency
to the community it serves.
Agency will have male staff representation; professional and/or volunteer. Agency will have a feedback process that specifically focuses on generating input, suggestions, and comments from fathers. Organization will provide direct outreach, media communications, and broad newsworthy reporting on father friendliness. Father focus will be identified within the mission/vision of the organization.  Documentation of father involvement activities is generated.
The welcome of fathers will be reflected in how staff interacts with fathers in appropriate program services. Annual performance evaluation will include reference to working with fathers as part of valued review. Agency will demonstrate a commitment to assisting staff identifying challenges in providing strengths based outreach, service, or participation to fathers. Agency participation is sought for community development of father friendliness and involvement activities. Agency hours of operation will support the recruitment, engagement, and involvement of fathers in services aimed at family
support and strengthening.
