Agency Staff Training in Father Friendliness
...strengthening knowledge and skills
This is a one day training focusing on how to include and enhance the inclusion of fathers using the principles and tools of Supporting Father Involvement (SFI).

The training is a fast paced activity based day spent:
  • Considering the traditional challenges and barriers to recruiting, engaging, and maintaining a positive and active connection to fathers with our agencies.
  • Planning for the enhancement and ongoing development of active Father Friendliness to our efforts and within the environment of the agency.
  • Developing a plan to follow through, actively and intentionally, with what we have experienced and learned in this day of Agency Staff Training in SFI.
By the conclusion of this session participants will:
  • Be prepared to apply their understanding of the traditional barriers to Supporting Father Involvement,
  • Understand how their attitudes and activities impact fathers and their involvement in the services provided by the agency and its staff and services.
  • Have tools to support their efforts to transfer the learning content of this training into their day to day work in their agencies, with the families they serve, and the communities they work in.
